Day 3: Sunday, July 28th 2023

Hello everyone!
Today, after a big breakfast at Cafe Ventanas, we headed straight to our first formal class with Justin. We started off the lesson with an American game called telephone, a game where everyone has to work together to get a message from one end of a line of students to the other! A great introduction to the project work the students will be doing for the upcoming days!
Class today consisted of a mini project where students got to create their own AI product, take a look at their creations! Though the topic may be simple, it encouraged students to brainstorm and work together on an idea!
After presenting their products and some discussion with the class, we went off for lunch. With full bellies, we set off to Moonlight beach and downtown Encinitas! We got to play volleyball and frisbee under the hot sun with the American students and even dipped our feet in the cool water. Then, we cooled off even more with some ice cream in the downtown shops in Encinitas!
For dinner, we had some tacos and lasagna and played a popular American game called kickball for the very first time afterwards. Its like a game of baseball, but instead of hitting the ball, you kick it! Though it got a little dark, it was still great to experience something new.
Tomorrow is another day of learning about project work and being by the ocean! This time, we’re going to see some historical sites and a famous port in Downtown San Diego. But for now, we’re off to bed!

カフェ・ベンタナスで朝食をたくさん食べた後、ジャスティンの授業に向かいました。
最初は、みんなで協力してメッセージを届ける伝言ゲームでウォームアップします。
生徒たちが行うプロジェクトワークの導入として、とても良いものでした。
今日のクラスは、生徒たちが自分たちのAI製品を考えるミニプロジェクトを行いました。
シンプルなテーマではありましたが、チームでブレインストーミングを行い、アイデアを出し合うことができました。
自分たちの製品を発表し、クラスでディスカッションをした後、昼食に向かいました。
お腹がいっぱいになったところで、ムーンライトビーチとエンシニータスのダウンタウンへ。
アメリカの生徒たちとバレーボールやフリスビーで遊び、冷たい水に足を浸したりもしました。
その後、エンシニータスのお店でアイスクリームを食べて涼みました。
夕食にはタコスとラザニアを食べ、その後「キックボール」というアメリカで人気のゲームをしました。野球のようなゲームですが、ボールを打つのではなく蹴るゲームです。
少し暗くなってしまいましたが、何か新しいことを経験できたのは素晴らしいことですね。
明日はまたプロジェクトワークと、サンディエゴのダウンタウンにある歴史的な場所や、有名な港を見に行く予定です。
